Our team

Cogela’s strength is based on the talent and expertise of its multifaceted team. This close-knit group of seasoned professionals averages more than 15 years of service with the Company.

The construction team boasts a dynamic group of engineers, each with over 15 years of project management experience. The operations manager has more than 25 years of worksite experience and leads a team of superintendents, foremen and construction workers.

The estimate team relies on its dedicated, highly skilled estimators to fully understand customer requirements. This helps them pinpoint optimal solutions in order to deliver projects that consistently exceed customer expectations.

The construction and estimate teams are supported at all times by administrative, accounting, IT, quality control and health safety and environment personnel—all of whom help create a seasoned multidisciplinary team. Each Cogela team member goes through initial training to obtain the necessary experience to perform his or her duties. Individual skills are reviewed and updated on a regular basis through continuous improvement initiatives for quality and customer care.

President's letter

Montreal, January 4, 2010

At Cogela, quality is an integral part of our people, our services and, ultimately, our performance. We are committed to providing our customers with services that meet all of their requirements as well as all regulatory and legal requirements.

Our goal is to conduct various aspects of our business—work estimates, construction, delivery (project delivery) and after-sales service (warranty)—in the most efficient, most economical way possible with the overall objective of increasing customer satisfaction. Our goal is to establish a win-win relationship with our customers by sharing our know-how for creating value-added projects.

Our operations are carried out efficiently and professionally, and are always based on the following principles:

  • Management is wholly committed to a quality system. To this end, it provides the necessary training and resources to facilitate implementation at all levels of operations; it communicates to its employees and suppliers the importance of ongoing quality; it regularly conducts evaluations of the quality system and conducts rigorous worksite monitoring; it regularly conducts management reviews to develop and improve its quality system by establishing and monitoring quality objectives; and, where necessary, ensures that necessary improvements are implemented in order to improve its processes, projects and services.
  • A member of management is responsible for managing and improving our quality system and has the authority to ensure its full implementation.
  • Managers at all organizational levels are responsible for providing all operations personnel with training, environmental awareness, equipment, materials, tools, methods and other information necessary to complete projects and ensure their compliance with specific requirements.

Our guiding philosophy: “Exceed customer expectations”. This call to action guides us throughout the completion of every project.

Marc Lavoie, Eng. President
