Buckingham’s fire station no.8 obtains its LEED certification
It is with great pleasure and pride that Cogela shares the news of Buckingham’s No.8 fire station’s LEED Silver (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Following several months of hard work by both Cogela & client teams, the project’s review by LEED Canada was accepted.

We congratulate those involved in the achievement of this prestigious goal and are proud to count another LEED certified project amongst our achievements.

Canadian Tire Beloeil: Project Completion
The renovation project of the large surface Canadian Tire store in Beloeil that was held over the past 5months is now completed. The store plans to re-open this coming spring.

New project with Aéroports de Montréal
Construction Cogela and Aéroports de Montréal will work together for the expansion of the passenger control area as well as for the development of a new commercial area in Pierre-Elliott Trudeau Airport’s North sector.

The project is estimated at $9,6M, with work scheduled to begin by the end of January 2013 and completion by February 2014.

The Cogela Construction team wins the annual Tour du courage PROCURE race
With over 36 550$ dollars raised for the fight against prostate cancer, the Cogela Construction team is proud to have won this year’s Tour du courage PROCURE event. The team, composed of 7 members, was able to surpass its competitors and secure the team’s first place ranking in part thanks to the help of the 60-minute credit towards total team time accumulated through donations –.

Toyota St-Eustache gets a new building
William Vialle, president of Toyota St. Eustache, and the Honourable Pierre Charron, mayor of St-Eustache, conducted on August 13 the first ceremonial groundbreaking for the newToyota St-Eustache building. The public opening is scheduled for February 2011 (photo by Michel Chartrand).

Cogela is proud to partner with Toyota St-Eustache to perform construction of a two-floor, 41,000 square feet building featuring a 5000 square feet showroom and floor spaces equipped for car cosmetics services and tire storage.

A restaurant for the Casino de Mont-Tremblant
Casino de Mont-Tremblant celebrates its first anniversary by announcing its project to open a new restaurant on its high rollers’ floor.

Altitude restaurant will provide seating for 112 diners including 30 on the terrace during the warm season.

Casiloc, a subsidiary of Loto-Quebec, renews with Cogela, entrusted with full management of the project.

The opening of the restaurant Altitude is scheduled for next fall.

HEC Montreal: make some room for the Decelles building!
HEC Montreal chose Cogela for the restoration of the 3rd and 4th floors of its Decelles building in Montreal.

This major project, supported by the Minister of Education, Recreation and Sports, will answer the growing demand for student enrollment experienced in recent years.

Another LEED project for Cogela
By obtaining the mandate to build the new fire station in Gatineau, Cogela adds another LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) to its list of accomplishments.

LEED is a comprehensive evaluation system to improve a building’s environmental and energy performance. Cogela’s past achievements and expertise with Green Buildings have been recognized on several occasions, especially for its work with Outdoor Gear Canada and the Casino du Mont-Tremblant, two projects that are certified LEED Silver.

The proposed new fire station project in Gatineau is aiming for LEED Silver.

The Cogela team is proud to contribute to environmental leadership.

Gatineau: construction of a new fire station
Construction of a new fire station project for Buckingham and Masson-Angers Gatineau is about to begin and Cogela is pleased to announce that its services have been retained for this project.

The new building, located near the highway, will allow the fire department to centralize its operations, facilitate the training of firefighters, and significantly reduce response time during emergencies.

The proposed new fire station aims at achieving a Silver LEED certification for its environmental characteristics.
Kirkland: renovation of the municipal library
Cogela is pleased to announce that is has won the renovation contract for the Kirkland Municipal Library.

The refurbished library will feature a number of improvements including new walls, installation of an elevator for basement access, and a new section built specifically for teens.

The first ceremonial groundbreaking took place last April 23.
